Typewritten and bound transcript of an interview conducted by Lynn DeWitt for the Missionary Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 1 March 1994. Allen talks about his early life, his service in the United States Navy at the end of World War II, and his experiences as a missionary for the Mormon Church in California at which time he travelled without purse or scrip.
